Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank came into existence on 12.09.2005 with the amalgamation of 4 erstwhile Regional Rural Banks sponsored by Syndicate Bank in the state of Karnataka namely Malaprabha Grameena Bank, Varada Grameena Bank, Netravati Grameena Bank and Bijapur Grameena Bank with the objective of catering to the needs of the target group under Farm Sector and Non Farm Sector.
The operational area of the
Bank extends to 9 Districts namely Bagalkot, Belgaum,
Bijapur, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Udupi, Uttar Kannada and
Dakshina Kannada with a network of 483 branches.
The Bank has a customer base of over 4 million.
The Bank has been a front runner in catering to the needs of the Farmers, Traders, Rural Artisans, Professional and self-employed, Contractors and all sections of the society and stands out as the biggest Regional Rural Bank in the State of Karnataka.
The Bank has computerised
nearly 100% of its business and poised to serve the customers
efficiently and effectively with a dedicated work force of
nearly 2238 employees. The Bank has been offering a wide range
